Abstract

PROBLEM: the types of disruptive behaviors presented by students with intellectual disabilities. OBJECTIVE: to establish disruptive behaviors in students with intellectual disabilities METHOD: the universe is made up of 127 students with various conditions, with a sample of 87 who have intellectual disabilities enrolled in the Official Urban Mixed School of Special Education of zone 1 Guatemala City. RESULTS: the most frequent age range was demonstrated was from 13 to 20 years of age with 54.02% (N = 47), finding the male gender as predominant in 60% (N = 52), the predominant ethnic group is the Ladino / mestizo with 100% (N = 87), the schooling that prevailed was 5th and 6th primary with 39.08% (N = 34),  it was evidenced that the degree of intellectual disability is moderate with 51.72% (N = 45) and the disruptive behavior with the highest prevalence is that of stereotyped movements with 41.4% (N = 36). CONCLUSION: the most relevant behaviors presented by students are stereotyped movements and inappropriate social behavior that interferes.

She has a degree in psychology, language therapist, graduated from the University of San Carlos de Guatemala, with thirteen years of experience in public administration, in the Ministry of Education, with national and international accreditations related to inclusive and special education. Master's student in Neurosciences with an emphasis on Neurocognition, CUNZAC.
