Neuropsychological characteristics in adolescent clinic, Zacapa, Zacapa

PROBLEM: adolescence is a stage of many changes, so it is necessary to study it OBJECTIVE: to determine the neuropsychological characteristics in the patients of the Zacapa adolescent clinic, Zacapa. METHOD: descriptive cross-sectional study with an analytical approach in the psychological clinic of adolescents in Zacapa. The universe will be made up of patients who attended the Zacapa adolescent clinic, Zacapa. And the sample by 98 patients who are in the range of 12 to 17 years which can be classified within the term of adolescents. RESULTS: showed that the evaluated patients presented stress and depression to a greater extent, in which the female sex prevailed over the male with 48%. 78% belongs to the urban area due to access issues. CONCLUSION: the stage of adolescence is one of the hardest stages that every human being has to go through and has already passed, but that transition brings with it many environmental, psychological and physical challenges that result in a challenge. It can be determined that adolescents are more likely to suffer from depression and anxiety and the current group that is going through that stage also has a variable that others could not count and it is the pandemic that has been experienced since 2020 which meant in many changes for them and that also affected them to a lesser or greater extent.
